24 Jun Brian Carroll 6/21/2014 Training Log
I’m currently in an off-season training mode, and I’m looking to do a meet in the fall. Bodyweight is currently down to 270 from 293 and I want to continue becoming more healthy and active (walking a mile per day) and eventually get back into a precontest prep by August 2014. Best official equipped lifts in competition are 1185 squat, 825 bench, 800 deadlift with a 2730 total.
Current training split:
Saturday – Squat and Dead
Monday – Bench
Wednesday – Squat and Dead assistance
Thursday – full and buff/core work
Warm-up:
Mcgill big 3
Goblet Squat
Band Goblet
Goal:
A bit of a deload as I try to get back on a normal rotation from Scott being here and moving some things around. Will be back on schedule starting Sat 6/28 where I’ll be squatting and pulling once again.
Training:
Goblet squat: 3×10
One arm KB swing: 3×10
One leg GM: 3×10
GHR: 3×10
Band fly: 3×15
Reverse sled drag: 200 yards
Overview:
Nothing too much to report. Just some easy work that is usually done on my assistance day for Sqt/dl. I’ll be back on schedule very soon. In the meantime, the sled drags and ham work is BLOWING my legs up. Good stuff.
