A couple very cool things 1. our very own Allison Lockhart wont her SECOND Canada’s strongest lady or whatever they say to be politically correct. She’s a bad ass! I’ve know Ally for about 4 years and have programmed her strength training for the duration. She had Jill Mill’s help her with her implements and I must say it worked well. Congrats to you both! Keep in mind that allison is an athlete, and she’s only done about 4 strongman comps ever!

2. Tony Cowden is joining PRS. Google him and keep any eye out his his log next week!

I just finished a very poor showing at the Battle of the boardwalk in NJ where I bombed on the squat. I’m currently dialing in my squat technique and will stay in some equipment over the next few weeks to dial in technique that is still new to me and I’m adjusting to.

I’m very motivated to do so. I’ve written about FAILURE being the biggest motivator for me. And it’s worked, once again.

Oh, and I’m competing again in Oct 3 in Fort Myers!

I’ve come full circle and I’m back with Inzer Advance Designs, just like I was from 2006-2009 where I did some of my best lifting ever. I’m very excited about the opportunities this brings me and my team.

I’m after the total record at 242 of 2695, and squat record of 1140. My best total ever is 2730, and best squat ever is 1185 – my best individual lifts combined are low to mid 2800’s at 275. My best total at 242 is 2610 and I will be adding to that very soon.

I will get the squat and total record, even if takes 20 more tries. Support from family, friends, my team and Inzer will help get me there. I just have to execute.

Wednesday’s training went very well.

Byrd benched and I helped him dial in his Phenom and he had a good session.

I hit my normal squat and deadlift assistance and I’m really enjoying this day

Here’s what I did

Normal warm-up
McGill big 3
Band fly

McGill Chins 15
2-arm KB swing 3×12
DB shrug 3×12
KB one leg GM 3×12
Piston squat 5×5 to 365
Leg press 3×10
Hammer curl 3×12
Band skull 3×12
Band fly 3×12

DONE

Very good session. I know I sound like a broken record but I feel great. BW is sitting at 263 this am and I feel very healthy. I’m going to really dial in some things with my equipped squat and bench tomorrow (which is a week out) but I’m rested enough that I don’t think it should matter too much. Plus I have a full week I’m taking off after this session.

Thanks for reading and for the support!
