Byrd: 5 years of missing a boob and a solid bench!

Monday 8/28/17 made it exactly 5 years since my pec went bye bye. I kinda miss the little guy, he really helped with my raw bench. Funny thing is, I tore my it warming up on the bench. Of course now, I learned that lesson and spend a lot more time warming up than ever before.

My squat session this weekend was a shit show. Everything hurt, everything moved slow, hell I dont even want to talk about it. Reality is that it simply is one bad session, and as great as things have felt I really was due for one.

If you had of asked me a few years ago (post injury) that I would be in the range of 800+ benches I would have laughed at you. Well, what we did has worked. October of 2012 I asked Adam Driggers if I could come down and train, and I am truly lucky to have been a part of Team Samson and 10/20/Life

So the bench part!
Warm ups
3×10@ bar
3×5@ 140
2×3 @ 230
1×1 @ 370
shirt on
1×1 550 3board
1×1 640 2board
1×1 675 1board (excited it touched so easily)
1×1 745 1board- This is about my opener, maybe just less than.

At this point I called it there. I am beat up, sore, and playing it smart. I could have easily hit my 2nd attempt number but I felt it better to rest and get my secondary work in.

superset the for 5 sets
incline dumbbell press, Tricep push downs.

Overall I feel I am on track and ready to get to the platform.
