Byrd: 825 Bench, “You Dont Want No Problems”

Finally broke the 2,500 total mark at the Arnold, but like any lifter I feel there is more left in the tank. Currently training for the RPS South Florida Conquest on September 3rd. I will be lifting in the 275 class against several other solid lifters. I will need to have a solid meet, but I have high expectations of a good PR total!

First, sorry for being a little behind on the update! For some reason I thought I got this bench session posted, but I failed. Anyway, this was a solid session overall as far as numbers go. With that said, I am not pleased with the form on some of the sets, and made the lifts harder than they should have been.

Raw warm ups to 405
shirt on
550×2 4board
650×1 2board
730×1 2board
770×1 2board
825×1 2board pr?

I am thinking either 825 is a PR or ties it. Either way I am really happy with the rep for two reasons. Fist is that I was able to handle, press, and lock it out cleanly. Second is that I had a horrible groove on it and still was able to hit the lift. Not bad for a guy with one titty!

3×20 band push downs
3×20 double arm hammer curls

I called it a night there! The heat is just nasty right now, and really this was all I could take. I am also coaching football right now, so those 3hr practices in the heat are not helping anything! Looking forward to some big benching Monday now that the deload is over!
