Byrd: Johnny 5 Still Alive!

Yes, I am still alive. I am lifting, well sort of. I have been going to the chiropractor a few times a week to get my hip and back squared away. The bicep is ready to go, and I have no concerns about it anymore. My other health issues have cleared up as well, and am slowly getting back to normal. Of course this is the time of year that my allergies go nuts, but ill suck it up to keep this great weather!

So whats up with the back? Good news is that it is not skeletal! Over time my right hip flexor and QL have gotten really tight. They are bound up with more knots than I can count. Each time I leave the chiropractor I am in legit pain, I really think she is trying to kill me! I keep telling myself this is what has to be done for me to accomplish my goals. Right now the plan is to lift at the RPS meet in Atlantic City. As for what weight class, we will just have to wait and see! If I can not rebound well up to 280s I will stick with the diet and lift at 242.

Now for some positive! I feel like I am about 2 weeks away from starting up a solid offseason. We have three members of Team Samson getting ready for meets. It always motivates me to get going when I watch these guys getting after it! Even more positive news is the growth of 10/20/Life and PowerRackStrength! The seminar schedule is filling up fast, we will be all over the country.

As far as training this week

3×10 incline dumbbell
4×25 hammer curl
4×25 push down
McGill Big 3
Rehab work

Just in case you did not catch the title reference, here is a clip from Short Circuit. Yes, I enjoy bad 80s movies!
