Byrd: My Squat Sucks!

I was a good squatter, I really was! I am not sure exactly what happened, but its time to get it fixed. For whatever reason I am leaning bad to my left side. My right hip is opening way too much and my entire right side is dipping forward. Needless to say it makes me weak, and in a fair amount of pain. I need to face reality, and take some time to do some serious rehab and get healthy. It has been years since I have gone more than 1 week without doing some type of squats, YEARS! I guess it has finally caught up to me. I have a plan, am surrounded by people who have mad much worse back injuries,. I have no excuse to not get healthy.

Squats (if you can call it that)
3×5@bar
3×3@150
2×3@240
2×3@330
1×1@420
1×3@510 (damn near killed me!)

At this point I had to lay on the gym floor and prop my right leg up to ease the pain. It was so bad that my right side locked up, right glute was on fire, and it ran all the way down into my hamstring. It was a real reality check.

Now for the even worse reality check, it hurt so bad I couldn’t bench on Monday. I mean damn even old ladies at the spa bench right? Well not me, it was like someone stabbed me in the right side of my back. I resorted to doing dumbbells vs bands and taking it easy. I figured, well I can lift out for Adam and Keith while they were in their shirts. Well I had to stop that as well! Lifting out was causing my back to lock out!
