30 Mar Byrd: Raw Squats Week 2!
Finally broke the 2,500 total mark at the Arnold, but like any lifter I feel there is more left in the tank. Focusing on some offseason goals which include gaining some weight to fill out the 275 class, improving my bench, adjusting some form issues on the squat, and adding more upper back size. The next 8 weeks will focus on raw work and speed. I feel like if I can get those things accomplished I will be looking at another PR total come meet time.
[wa-wps]Squat this week looked like this
2×5@145
2×5@235
1×3@325
1×1@415
1×1@505
3×1@600
1×5@505
Everything was done in sleeves and walked out because im a dumbass and missed the gym on Saturday.
Good news is that everything is moving well! I am 290 already and strength seems to be climbing pretty fast. I am interested to see how the work in sleeves will pay off for my geared squat. Right now the goal is to just build a little volume in the 600 range and start working a little heavier in a few weeks.
