29 Jun Jonathan Byrd Squat/Dead Combo Day with Video
Training to improve on my best competition lifts of 1040 squat, 705 bench, and 730 deadlift. Currently working my way down to the 275 class.
Finally getting back on track this week with my normal training set up. Saturday was my squat/deadlift combo day, and it was nice to get them back on the same day again. I just never seem to have the ability to recover well enough to do them on separate days, and doing them together and rotating intensities has paid off well for me.
Squats with SSB (75lb bar)
3×3@bar
2×3@165
2×3@255
2×3@345
1×3@435
1×3@500
Form pulls using conventional stance
1×3@135
1×3@225
1×3@315
5×1@405
Overall a solid productive day. Keeping the RPE low for now, but will slowly pick up over the next few weeks.
