21 Dec Jonathan Byrd Week 1 of XPC Arnold Prep: Equipped Squats
Currently working my way down in weight to lift in the 275 class at the XPC Finals. Looking to improve on my all-time best lifts of 1040, 725, and 730lbs. All of my squat gear is with Ken Anderson getting altered due to my weight loss. I wanted to go ahead and get in some gear this week, so I used the my old stuff in which I deadlift in. I wanted to work up to what would be about last warm ups. I realize this is early in the training cycle, but I feel my added raw strength and additional size will help my equipped lifting. Right now the plan is to push a little harder than normal and use no barbell squats at all during deloads.

Felt great with the start of the cycle. Depth could be better on the 890 but I have not been in gear during the offseason, so it was too be expected. I will be deloading this week on the squat/dead then back into my gear!
