03 May Leg day headache
Oh yes, that old familiar feeling of slight dizziness after a tough set, followed by a little headache towards the end of the workout. Love it.
I didn’t work my legs very hard these last few weeks leading up to the show, so now that I’m feeling healthy again I’ve been having a good time on legs. More on my current workout split later, here’s what I did today though –
5 min walk on treadmill
warm up glutes and core with cable kickbacks super setted with planks
seated calf raises – 4 sets of 20,20,15,15
Leg press (quad focused with feet low and narrow on the machine for more kneee flexion) – 3 sets of 12,10,8
squats – 3 sets of 8 with 225,275,315 at RPE 7 top set
seated hamstring curls – 3 sets of 15,12,10
weighted walking lunges – 3 sets of 16 steps
the squats felt awesome, even though I couldn’t throw around much weight I felt great while doing it, and my form was spot on.
