This is the fun part about equipped lifting, when you start to get the hang of it with one lift, sometimes you fuck up the others. This is why good teammates are important.
** Flat Barbell Bench Press **
– 45.0 lbs x 20 reps
– 135.0 lbs x 10 reps
– 185.0 lbs x 5 reps
– 225.0 lbs x 3 reps
– 275.0 lbs x 3 reps
– 315.0 lbs x 3 reps
– 345.0 lbs x 3 reps
Worked up to an easy as hell last set before I put the shirt on.
** 2 Board Bench **
– 435.0 lbs x 2 reps
– 435.0 lbs x 2 reps
Now… I am having issues with my shirt and I can’t quite figure out what the hell the problem is. I started off using it feeling like I was benching from a trampoline and now all of a sudden it feels like shit. Next week we will try it again with a few adjustments.
** Slingshot Bench **
– 435.0 lbs x 2 reps
Did a set of close grip bench with the slinger for extra tricep work.
** 3 Board Press **
– 315.0 lbs x 5 reps
– 345.0 lbs x 5 reps
– 345.0 lbs x 5 reps
To build my tris up more, these will be used for the rest of the training cycle up until the meet.
** Incline Dumbbell Bench Press **
– 85.0 lbs x 15 reps
– 85.0 lbs x 15 reps
– 85.0 lbs x 15 reps
** Rope Push Down **
– 100.0 lbs x 15 reps
– 100.0 lbs x 15 reps
– 100.0 lbs x 15 reps
Today:
** SSB Box Squat **
– 160.0 lbs x 5 reps
– 250.0 lbs x 5 reps
– 300.0 lbs x 5 reps
– 300.0 lbs x 10 reps
Deep squats aggravate my hip and since it is getting better I am not taking chances with it. To the box it goes. Worked up to an easy 5 and then slammed some reps for the last one. If I wasn’t so woefully out of shape with reps, more would have been lifted, but since I suck at reps… 10 it was.
** Barbell Row **
– 135.0 lbs x 8 reps
– 225.0 lbs x 8 reps
– 225.0 lbs x 8 reps
– 225.0 lbs x 8 reps
– 225.0 lbs x 8 reps
** Chin Up **
– 5 reps
– 6 reps
– 6 reps
– 6 reps
