Hey Brian – I have a question about Inzer’s SDP bench shirt in regards to sizing. I am switching from Titan’s double ply Katana, so the SDP is new to me.
Should you go exactly off of shoulder circumference plus four, like the website recommends? I like a tight shirt, so I want to make sure I know if I should order exactly what the formula says or go a size down?
Thanks
Chris Riedy
Chris,
I meant arm-length is a factor as well as how much you bench. This has to be considered for size too.
Dave Hoff at 300lbs wears a 56 shirt. He also benches like 1000lbs. A man his size that only benches 500 will likely have to with a looser fit. Maybe. You see my point?
Hello,
Thanks for your question.
What I do if I were you is this: Try on a few friends shirts if you can and see about the fit you need. I would not just go off the sizing chart as arms are a factor. To give perspective, use this guide for sizing purposes to give you an idea of where you would fit.
I am currently in a 56 SDP at 265lbs. After you try on a few sizes, and do a little homework, you will have a good idea what size to order. You can also look up Ginny Phillips to have it altered perfectly for you. I prefer this method. https://www.powerrackstrength.com/breaking-in-an-inzer-advance-designs-sdp/
