“Bigger back for bigger bench”. What’s your opinion on adding the power clean/hanging clean into a program? Should this have its own day or can you effectively use it to supplement on deadlift day?
I think cleans have their place like Allison states. If you are specifically training for powerlifting there are much more beneficial movements and accessories you can do to improve your bench. The clean is a highly technical movement that if not done right can cause more harm than damage. So in short, if not needed for strongman or crossfit training it would not be my first choice as an accessory movement.
