I just finished reading 10/20/Life 2nd Edition, and am going to read it again to pick up any points I missed the first time. With that said, I am interested in using the Run Disney 10k template to train for a 10k in April.
I am looking for input on whether I can reasonably expect to be successful with 10/20/Life and training for a 10k at the same time, either with the above plan or in a different manner.
Thank you for your time.
Thanks for supporting 10/20, PRS and for the question. I would def suggest reading it over a few times then going back through the FAQ and associated chapters a few times.
I would never suggest pushing a strength cycle with a 10k. Not just because running’s not my area of expertise but because they are conflicting goals. There have been some freaks who have been able to do both well, for example, Tony Cowden and Brandon Crabill doing the 6/6/6, but it takes a great deal of tinkering and hard-won lessons to do it with any success.
Focus on one or the other is my best advice to you. Don’t get greedy, or you will eventually pay.
