Thank you first for introducing us to your methods and Stuart McGill. His work has saved my back and has kept me lifting.
I have both editions now and enjoy them thoroughly. I was curious why the changes in the recommendation for the week 7 and 8 contest prep training. I would be curious what the thought or reasoning is behind it.
Thanks for the support. Glad you enjoy both. There are a few things that have evolved over the years with the philosophy. Again, these charts are just a baseline for you to start with or a suggestion. The slight changes are what I feel to be improvements to peaking.
Every program will evolve over time. If you don’t adapt to the new information and feedback that comes in all the time, the program renders itself useless. What Brian left out is that the charts in the book are examples. They are templates, not rigid rules that cannot be changed. They are a perfect starting point for someone new to the system. Use them to gauge where you think you need to be and see if they work for you. 10/20/Life is a philosophy, not a program!
