Zane Geeting, Sunday night bench training with video

This marked the last session of my off-season benching with the rotation of barbell benching and DB benching. This fell on the DB side of the rotation. Here’s how it went:

Gerneral Warm Up

Planks

Fat man rows and push ups

Side laterals

Scarecrows

Pulldowns

DB bench

Warm up, then…

125’s x12 (video)

Standing DB OHP

Warm ups, followed by…

90’s x12

Pushdowns

3 sets of 10-12 up to 100 lbs.

Rear delt DB flyes

3 sets of 12 up to 45’s

Suitcase carries with Fat Gripz Extreme

125’s x1 trip ea. side (try it, I dare you)

Here’s the video of the top set of DB presses. This is a huge improvement over how things have been for a long time with the bad pec.

Sorry its so dark, that’s just the way the gym is.

Zane Geeting

Zane Geeting is a pro multi-ply powerlifter with best lifts of a 935 squat, 625 bench, and 765 deadlift. He is coming back to competitive PL after a year and a half layoff that was a result of several serious injuries including a severe rupture of the right pec that could not be repaired. Zane has an extremely busy schedule that would make most people quit before Friday. He works 55+ hours a week as a finance manager. As a renaissance man, he is also currently restoring a 140 year-old farmhouse and maintaining a hobby farm. Despite all this, Zane still finds time to train 2-3 times per week, as well as coach other lifters.
