Zane Geeting, Tuesday night deadlift accessories

I’m currently training to make my comeback to the platform at the XPC finals, at the Arnold Classic. Along the way I’ll be doing Dan Dalenberg’s push/pull meet as a tune-up, this January.

Tuesday night was a quick one. Dirk wasn’t feeling great, but was kind enough to get us into the gym to train. We did what we could to get out of his way as quick as possible.

General warm up

BW squat

Bird dogs

McGill’s

McGill chins

10 singles

Bent rows from the floor

warm ups, followed by…

275×5

325×5

Seated cable rows

stack x15x2 sets

DB shrugs

100’s x15x3 sets

Neck machine

50 lbs. x20x3 sets

That was the end of it. The whole session was a little over an hour long. Next week I’ll start my meet training cycle, and I’ll be doing a little pulling off the floor. Stay tuned for that.

Zane Geeting

Zane Geeting is a pro multi-ply powerlifter with best lifts of a 935 squat, 625 bench, and 765 deadlift. He is coming back to competitive PL after a year and a half layoff that was a result of several serious injuries including a severe rupture of the right pec that could not be repaired. Zane has an extremely busy schedule that would make most people quit before Friday. He works 55+ hours a week as a finance manager. As a renaissance man, he is also currently restoring a 140 year-old farmhouse and maintaining a hobby farm. Despite all this, Zane still finds time to train 2-3 times per week, as well as coach other lifters.
