Adam Driggers 7-21-2014, Bench Training

I spent a few days out of touch with the word so here is last week’s bench training. This is better than the time before, but I still fell short of my rep goal.

Last night I continued my 8 rep set scheme. I took a shirted bench last week, but the week before that I ended with sets of 8, 6, and 1 after feeling something off with the last set. The good news was I had no lasting effects and I was able to get two good weeks of benching since then including an improvement of my rep goal this week. My rep goals are simple, 3 sets of 8. I don’t increase until that’s possible. This is my second week of 365. Changing the way I train since I retired has been a hard pill to swallow. It’s humbling, but I’m enjoying myself and my training if fun again.

Bench:
365 x 8
365 x 8
365 x 6

DB Incline Press:

70 x 15 for 3 sets

Band Flyes:

3 sets of 20 [share title=”Share this Article” facebook=”true” twitter=”true” google_plus=”true” linkedin=”true” pinterest=”true” reddit=”true” email=”true”][author title=”About the Author”]
