Upper Back Training, 12/17/2014
Began today’s training with a 1.3 mile hike before hitting the gym.
I followed that up with some upper back training:
Pull-ups:
8,6,6
Rows:
225 x 12 for 3 sets
Wide Grip P/Ds:
170 x 12 for 3 sets
DB Rows:
100 x 12 for 3 sets
Close Grip P/Ds:
170 x 12 for 3 sets
Shrugs:
315 x 12 for three sets (video)
My current goal is to drop around 15 lbs. I have been weighing about 230 pretty consistently. My plan is to up the cardio which is part of my overall health plan which was the main motivator in my retirement from competition. Followed by higher volume training sessions. Eating better can come later. If I can get my weight down to 215 without changing my eating habits, then maybe I’ll change my eating habits to drop to 200.
