Last heavy bench of the cycle. I was not feeling 100% at this point but the final few weeks you really shouldn’t, IMO. BUT, I didn’t feel too bad. One of the major focuses of this cycle was dialing in my form, and I think I accomplished this on the bench.

Bench
410
500
added 56 SDP Bench shirt
610 – 2bd
680 – 2bd
730 – 1bd
820 – 1.5 bd This will be around a third as long as my second goes well.

Incline DB press: 3×10
Bench dip: 3×15
Band fly: 3×15

I don’t deviate from my plan very much but I did on this day. I planned on taking 770 to a half and calling it a day. I touched the 730 very very easily so I decided even with the bar loaded that I wanted to handle some heavier weight but not stretch the bottom of the shirt quite as much. So after talking to Byrd, Clint and Adam, we all agreed this was a good idea.

All of this went well. This was pretty much the last real training session until the meet on 10.29. I’ll do some light fluff and buff type stuff and some walking but for the most part, nothing. I’ll try to stay as relaxed as possible over the next week which is pretty hard to do at times but is a must.
