2 good sessions from Saturday and Monday

Saturday – squat/DL

Squats:
top sets in gear
730
820
915
1015
1025

DL
705 – 3 singles

Leg press: 3×10
Stir the pot: 100

Not a great day on the squat as I felt all over the place. But I made up for it with the deads. I feel very good about my deadlift and how things moved. The squat I will really focus on this weekend and next. That is my bread and butter, so I will hammer that out.

Monday, bench day

I had a pretty crappy day on Monday – just woke up on the wrong side of the bed and it carried over to the gym. I still benched OK considering – not great but at this point, things wont move the way we’d like. They WILL on meet day as long as you stay the course.

Bench
410
500
Added SDP
550 – 3bd
640 – 2bd
730 – 1bd
770 1/2 (more than opener)
825 2bd (more than a 3rd)

Incline DB press: 3×15
Band fly: 3×15
DB skulls: 3×15

Had to really push myself mentally on this day due to the fatigue setting in from the weekend and training in general. After this squat, I’m due for a NICE deload. THANK GOD.

The goal has not changed, just being a little more conservative in training with less heavy weeks. Lets see how it pans out.
