9.19.16 – Squat deload

Really quick squat session tonight prior to benching. My goal was to do a couple of singles light since I missed training on Saturday as I was putting on a seminar in GR. The seminar went great btw! We incorporated raw and equippped for the hands on portion and we saw many improvements in a short amount of time.

Squat
325×1 – 4 singles

9.19 – bench – not a deload but a lighter week. I felt like crap as I was just getting off the plane but the squat work prior helped warm me up and let me get into position!

Bench
315
405
put SDP shirt on
500×2 – 3bd
545×2 – 3bd
610×1, a couple singles – 2bd

Shoulder saver sets of 5 (like a 1.5bd)
275
315
365

Band fly: 3×15
Band press-down: 3×15

DONE — (keep in mind most of my assistance work has went to my Fluff & Buff day)

Good session as the groove was dead on. Very happy with how it felt. I have about 6 weeks to get a few things brought up and corrected. I think that I will come into this meet very fresh mentally and physically. Very much looking forward to this weekend where I’ll push the squat up to around 950 and a band set over 1000. Deads will be more block pulls off the 4″ and RAW. It’s about time to take things up a notch.
