05 Apr Lowcountry Strength 10 Weeks Out, Session 1
Lowcountry Strength has started meet prep for our next meet. We’re currently training for the RPS Backyard Bash in Greenville, NC on June 9th. So far we have 4-5 competitors getting ready for it. Looking to be a good time.
Week 10 Shirted Benches:
3 Board work in the shirt:
75% for 3 sets of 3
Ended up doing 2 sets at 465 and one more at 485. Felt really good.
4 Board work in the shirt:
working against mini bands
3 sets of 3 at RPE of 7
ended up with a top set at 405+minis
I was really skeptical about this. I’ve had a hard time with bands in the past but was pleasantly surprised how well it went. I’ll try to push this a bit more since I started feeling a bit more confident with this by the end of the sets.
Finished off with Db bench and chest supported rows. I got a few more band pushdowns for a bit of a fluff and buff.
