I worked with Kiefer a lot a few years ago, and he is a knowledgeable guy with lots of nutritional science, etc.. That diet can work very well, but I like eating carbs at all times of the day.
At this point, where I have experimented with many different diet approaches, it’s hard to argue against eating a balanced approach for strength. Stan Efferding’s vertical diet is something that is very sound and helpful- it’s stable and not restrictive. This is not me plugging his book, but I sat in on his lecture at SWIS 3 weeks ago and loved his micro and macro approach to health, longevity, and performance.
