I know Inzer has sizing guidelines for the LUP but I am also aware that some lifters are wearing a size smaller. Is there a reason for this? Do you get more out of a smaller size (tighter fit/carryover)? etc. Looking to purchase one and switch from my old Leviathian, I lift in 220 class but usually compete at 235-240. According to Inzer, I should be a 2XL. I am a 900+ squatter. Thanks
Chad, thanks for the question sir.
I wear a 2x at 265ish, but I could also fit in an xl or a 3xl, I seem to fit better with more room to pull tighter in a 2xl. The XL requires the leg to be too ‘open’ but the 3xl doesn’t allow me to crank down quite as tight if I’m a bit light on a given day.
So, to confirm a 2xl would fit, but maybe an xl would be a better fit — The chart is accurate but I’d still give them a call to put to rest your concerns, we are all shaped so differently. 1800.222.6897
Hey Chad, I’m a 220 lifter around 230. I wear an XL. We’ve had a guy as large as 265 in an XL. So even if you go up a bit you’ll still be okay. We’ve even put a 200lb fella in an XL but like Brian said, you kind of run out of room to get it as tight as you’d want. I’d second Brian’s suggestion for the XL but would also suggest calling Izner to double check.
