12 Mar Driggers, Back Training 3/11/2015
So I got back to it this week. The distractions of work have slowed and my guys made it through their meet in almost one piece, so I can focus again.
I got back to it on Monday, but nothing special. Some flat benching followed by some 3 board pressing. No videos and nothing special to write up, but I did get after it so I felt good about it.
Last night I hit some back training. Here’s how that looked:
Pin Pulls: (Just below the knees)
500 x 3 for 3 sets
Shrugs:
405 x 8 for 3 sets
Pin Rows:
315 x 8 for 3 sets
High Pulley Wide Grip P/Ds:
175 x 12 for 3 sets
I feel good today and loved the fact that I was able to get after it without any discomfort last night. Hopefully if I pretend to be smart I can continue that over the next few months.
I’m not sure yet if I’ll put up a meet report. I have some interesting perspective, but I might keep it to myself.

Bio:
I’m 41 years old, married, with 2 teenagers. I’m currently retired from competitive lifting. I have held National titles in both the APF and AAPF. I’ve held top ten spots in two weight classes and several state and American records throughout my lifting career. I founded Team Samson, the testing ground of Brian’s 10/20/Life. What am I doing now? Coasting. Pushing lifts one at a time rather than for a total. Currently I’m training hard, but not for competition, simply for the love of it.
