What, if any, changes would be made to the reverse band percentages in the precontest block if the lifter chooses not to utilize reverse bands?

I’d say that not using the reverse bands would do the lifter a disservice. Â Reverse bands afford the opportunity to handle loads you’re planning to take in a meet, under more controlled conditions. Â You don’t want any surprises on meet day and there is nothing better than unracking a PR, knowing you’ve had it on your back before.
That being said, I have had lifters without access to a suitable rack for this type of work. Â In this case we used more doubles in the submaximal work and multiple singles with our openers to get practice. Â Nothing would be a suitable replacement in my opinion and you’re best served to get the reverse band work in.
