Why Use Peptides Like KLOW?

Why Use Peptides Like KLOW?

Before anything else, this is not medical advice. Go to your doctor. Go to your healthcare practitioner. Make sure your eyes are dotted and your T’s are crossed. What follows is simply my experience, based on my own blood work, my own history, and a long time spent around this space.

I do not casually talk about peptides, and I do not usually talk about my blood work. I have never been a big longevity guy. Honestly, I never thought I would live to see 30 or 40. Here I am at 44, trying to share real experience and real data for people who are curious but cautious.

This is about why I use peptides, why I trust certain people in this space, and why that trust matters more than the compounds themselves.

Years of Experience Before Peptides Were Trendy

I have been around peptides long before they became mainstream. The first time I used a peptide was around 2010. Some of you will remember those days. I remember eating ten Eggo waffles after dinner, covered in peanut butter and honey, washing it down with a giant jar of milk. My stomach felt like it was going to explode, but my brain was still hungry. That was my first exposure to how powerful signaling compounds could be.

Over the years, I experimented with peptides like BPC 157, TB 500, CJC, and others. I met Chris Duffin a long time ago at powerlifting meets and reconnected with him in 2016 at a seminar in Phoenix, where we were both teaching. Chris is not a hype guy. He is an engineer. He is obsessive about data, systems, and outcomes. That mindset is exactly why I trust him.

When people ask me who I trust in this space, my answer is simple. Who you trust matters more than the compounds themselves.

What KLOW Actually Is

KLOW is not a single peptide. It is a blend, and that matters.

KLOW is made up of four well-known peptides that work together:

GHK CU
TB 500
BPC 157
KPV

Each component plays a role. GHK CU supports tissue repair and collagen signaling. TB 500 and BPC 157 are commonly used for healing and recovery support. KPV is included for its role in systemic inflammation control. The goal is not to overpower the body but to support the systems that already exist.

That is the key distinction. KLOW is about signaling, not forcing outcomes.

Why I Personally Use Peptides

I did not start using peptides to lift more weight. I used to be a 300 plus pound super heavyweight. I was the first person to squat over 1,300 pounds. That achievement came with a cost.

My shoulders, connective tissue, endocrine system, and overall stress load paid for that performance. My back is great, but I have constant ringing in my ears. I hear it almost as loud as my own voice. That changes how you live and how you think about health.

My focus now is tissue quality, joint health, inflammation control, mental health, and hormone signaling, not suppression. Yes, I am on TRT. I was on testosterone when I had my blood work done. That context matters.

Peptides Are Signals, Not Drugs

When used correctly, peptides are signals. They tell the body to repair, regulate, and normalize. They do not override the system the way hormones do.

Everything I do is built around blood work. Full panels. Trends over time. Adjustments based on data, not how I feel that week. Copying a protocol off the internet without knowing your blood work is the biggest mistake people make.

Some people take peptides for hair. Some use them for skin or collagen. I have noticed improvements in my skin, hair, and nails, but that is not why I use them. These tools are powerful only when used with restraint, data, and professional oversight.

Blood Work and Real Results

I was on PEDs for years. My LDL used to be around 270. My HDL was basically nonexistent. My blood pressure was elevated. That is documented.

Recently, while taking KLOW, CJC, Ara 290, and TRT, my LDL dropped to 154. My total cholesterol was 194. My HDL was right around 40, which I had never seen while taking testosterone. My inflammatory markers were very low. My PSA and prostate markers were in range. My blood pressure was around 120 over 75, and I am sitting just under 260 pounds.

I do not take statins. I do not take blood pressure medication. This did not happen because of one compound. It happened because of systems working together.

Systems Over Silver Bullets

Peptides will not fix bad blood work on their own. They support the system. They do not replace compliance, responsibility, or lifestyle.

I walk daily. I get sunlight in the morning. I use red light therapy. I pay attention to digestion, inflammation, liver function, lipid transport, and hormone signaling. Fiber supplementation like psyllium husk has strong literature behind its ability to help improve cholesterol markers, and that is something I personally used.

Optimization is not peptides versus PEDs versus supplements. It is some of all of it, applied intelligently.

Playing the Long Game

I earned my injuries. I earned the stress I put on my body. That does not mean I have to accept decline as inevitable.

Traditional medicine often fails people by offering pills and five-minute appointments. There are specialists out there. There are systems out there. There are peptides like KLOW that can be used responsibly to support healing and quality of life.

Health is not about hacks. It is not about magic bullets. It is about discipline, data, and playing the long game.

Connect With Chris Duffin

Chris Duffin is a friend of mine, but I’m not affiliated with him in any way. I also can’t give you medical advice — I’m speaking strictly from a consulting standpoint and from my own personal experience. I’ve used these peptides myself and have had good results, but ultimately you’ll need to make the final call on what’s right for you. Please research and talk with Chris to see if it’s the correct fit for you, along with your medical provider.

If you compete or are performance enhancement tested, i.e., WADA, some peptides can test positive, so make sure that your federation, group, or job does not test for banned substances for performance. This does not make them illegal; it does mean some lifting and sporting federations do tests for peptides and other possible healing and performance-enhancing supplements, i.e., even caffeine over a certain amount, etc.
