Team Samson Powerlifting – A (Mostly) Empty Gym and Still Humid

Saturday morning was quiet at Team Samson HQ. Several people were traveling, Byrd was recovering from a hamstring tear sustained at the RPS Florida State meet a week prior and Brian was teaching with Danny Vega at a seminar in Miami. It ended up being a de-load for all. The Godfather (Adam) and Clint did triples while I (Stu, which is not my name but being the FNG they could call me worse) stuck with singles. We all worked up to 365 with the buffalo bar. Assistance work consisted of paused belt squats, 1 leg good mornings, suitcase carries and stir the pot.

On Monday we had most everyone back, Clint and Felipe were traveling. Adam hit sets of 12 with 225, Brian and Byrd were floor pressing and Felipe did dumbbell work. Shane stayed with light triples and I with my light singles.

All in all it was a good week, but I’m looking forward to having the gym full and fall weather if it exists in North FL.
