Team Samson Powerlifting – Jan. 13-15 2018

Team Samson is in offseason mode with the exception of Nick. He’s prepping for the SPF Daytona Classic on Feb. 24. Brian, Clint, Jason, and Stan have plans to compete in the spring.

Nick was traveling and absent Saturday. Two groups split between the safety squat bar and a straight bar. We pulled from 2″ blocks after squatting . Most of us worked up to moderate doubles or triples on both lifts. Belt squats were by some, others are experiencing knee pain that may be from the belt squat. Single leg good mornings, heavy suitcase carries and the McGill Big 3 finished off a good session.

We worked on breaking in some Inzer SDPs for the second week on Monday. We are experimenting with sizing a bit and working on getting the collar lower. Most of us started off with floor presses for main work. Brian, Clint, Jason and Stan all worked in the shirts at various board heights. Incline DB press and some light tricep work was done after shirt work.

Team Samson is looking forward to an exciting year. If you haven’t heard, the WPO is back and the invitations have been sent.
