25 Apr Team Samson Powerlifting- The gang’s all here! Training 4/16-4/20
[wa-wps]Adam Driggers is keeping his retirement casual by still out-lifting active lifters on occasion. Shane Ford is bouncing between work, life and training, trying to find a meet. Filipe Gusmao is gearing up for his first meet since surgery to repair a torn triceps.
The gym is very busy at the moment. With Brian training for the RPS U.S. Open, and Jason and Filipe training for RPS Redemption in south Florida, we have our hands full. We also have a pretty full gym with Channing being back as well as Paul Key, we have an incredibly diverse array of lifters in our stable.
Adam Driggers
With it being Adam’s second week back in the gym he is pushing his lifts a bit more, hitting a heavy single in the squat and some moderate triples in both the bench press and deadlift. It may take a couple weeks, but before we know it he will be back in full stride. Big lifts for the week were a 510 squat, 365×3 bench press and a 455×3 deadlift.
Filipe Gusmao
At 6 weeks out of the RPS Redemption meet in Ft. Meyers, Filipe is looking strong, considering he just had a pretty major injury. Training has gon very well for him, and he is looking to push it in the home stretch leading to the meet. Lifts for the week were a 330 bench press, 565×2 squat, and a 545×2 block pull.

I’m still hanging around. Changes at work have my training a little pressed for time, but I’ve been getting it in. we pushed my squat and horrid bench a bit this week, while I deloaded my deadlift. My heavy lifts for the week were a 490×3 squat, a 305×3 bench press, and 315×5 deficit deadlift.
